Indicator Title

The Technical Working Group

The technical working group (TWG) of African Health Stats is responsible for working with the AU to ensure integrity and quality of data on the platform and leading data revisions and quality assurance. The African Health Stats TWG is a sub-group of the African Union Commission’s Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) Taskforce.
Members of the TWG include eminent African experts in health statistics (including demography and epidemiology) from the fields of reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health; infectious diseases; public health and health financing. There are seven expert members presided by the Head of the Health, Population and Nutrition Division of the African Union Commission.
